As we journey through this Lenten season and the days of Holy Week, we encounter Jesus acting in a way that is somewhat unfamiliar to us: He is angry and forceful, clearing the temple of all those who have turned His Father’s house into a den of robbers. We would do well to consider if God’s house in our own church is what Jesus desires: a house of prayer for all nations.
