Today we focus on God’s great love, coming to us with grace and mercy, even as He did not give up on His chosen Old Testament people. His invitation to them reminds us of the resurrection of our Lord, our hope for all eternity. He asks only the faith He has given us, faith received by our ancestor Abraham in his old age and trusted for all that God promised. God has returned to us, and the promise is for everyone! And now our Lord sends us out, accompanying us on our journey. We go not to faultless people but sinners whom God wants to forgive as we announce the gracious Gospel to them.
