Preaching can be challenging, and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Preach the Word (PTW) program is here to help. If you are thinking about PTW, participant Rev. Steven Hackmann, pastor of Shore Haven Lutheran Church, Euclid, Ohio, says to do it. “This helps bring out some of those foundational things that we just need to keep reminding ourselves of. … What has God given us in the text to help us?”
PTW: Benefits of a Group Setting.
Preaching can be challenging, but The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Preach the Word (PTW) program is here to help. Rev. Adam Matheny, associate pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Mankato, Minn., talks about the benefits of PTW’s group setting. Working with two other pastors keeps Matheny accountable and brings different perspectives to their study. “I get to consider how this module will work in more congregations than just mine,” he says.
